The making of the Falling Church

Within two hours of arriving at Young Harris, I found, or it found me, an old house, that the owners had decided to burn. They were delighted to donate it for sculpture. They told me that thier grandfather had moved it from across the valley. It used to be a church and a classroom before it became her grandmother's home. After removing the roofing and stringers, I pushed over each rafter and they fell with such grace, that I decided to make the sculpture about that expirence.

The sculpture is built over one of the last surviving original school paths, till now, no longer used.
