Roof Well
It is tough to explain how much I value the process.

The feeling of finding the old building, on a rainy day in rural Alabama.

The old man recounting that the house was old when he was young. Telling me of how the road had changed and of the pickup pulling a trailer of cattle had cause the old steel bridge to collapse, leaving the truck hanging from a hitch that cost a buck fifty.

Pushing over the two-room house with my shoulder, such a huge crash.

Working on the sculpture in the middle of the night, surrounded by trees and grassy fields. The warm summer air and the neighbor's dog appearing out of the night, just to say hi.

Driving through rush hour traffic in NY.
