Well, she did and I met with the handlers who pointed out that the baboons needed another climber in the area. Well I had this idea for this upside down walking tree, so... here it is! But that wasn't enough. I wanted to pull the viewers in to empathize more with the baboons. So I put a section of the walking trees out with the people. Now they could touch and feel a piece of what the baboons were climbing on. As a side note, all the wood used for this sculpture was from one huge tree that came down in my friend's yard. It was a huge beautiful tree and now it walks on! You can see this sculpture in the North Carolina Zoological Park in Asheboro, NC.
